These jail bars simply fit onto the rear hatch to protect luggage from hitting the rear window. They also look pretty cool! Jail Bar kit for rear window fits Type 2 Splitscreen Bus upto 67 and Type 2 Bay Window 68-79. For small hatch buses (pre 1963) you will need to cut the tube length down but this is an easy job.
